British-American artist and US Air Force veteran, Butch brings over 30 years of experience to his studio,  the Champion Tattoo Company. Holding a BFA from the University of Maryland, he specializes exclusively in custom Tribal and Japanese tattooing.

For Tribal work,  Butch has been studying and creating tribal styles tattoos for clients using a freehand method that fit the body. Whether you seek the fluid patterns and stories of Polynesian or Filipino styles, the bold contrast of Neo Tribal and Geometrics, or the intricate lines of Celtic and Nordic knotwork, every piece is bespoke and honours tribal cultures.

His Japanese work honours the traditional Irezumi aesthetic. Prioritizing flow through freehand design, Butch crafts large-scale sleeves and bodysuits featuring classic elements like Tigers, Hannya masks, and Dragons.

Located in Strasburg, VA, the studio provides a quiet friendly environment with a small town atmosphere. It serves as a destination for clients from Washington DC, Baltimore, NoVA, and West Virginia seeking a tattoo specialist dedicated to long-session projects.
